Interactive media & creative code: “Mood Ring”

An exploration in interactive media using TouchDesigner and Arduino

This personal project is exploratory in nature, in that I am learning new tools and methods of expression to complete it.

I am working on a user-approachable object that reacts in real time with generative visuals similar to that of a classic Mood Ring. With this project, my goal is to self-learn TouchDesigner and its integrations for interactive and responsive work, making use of accessible resources by practicing creatives.

The concept of the Mood Ring explores being told how one is supposed to feel. As my artistic practice focuses on mindfulness, understanding oneself, I am intrigued by an interactive piece that perhaps conflicts or validates a self perception.
